- Loan by Phone
The Policyowner or Agent may contact Customer Services at ext. 8060. To be able to request a loan by phone, the amount of loan must be less than $10,000 and the address on the Kansas City Life Insurance Company system must have been in place for the last 30 days.
If the request requires additional signatures such as an Assignee, or multiple Owners, a form is required. Refer to the Surrender Section of this guide for signature requirements.
- Loan with a signed Form 244
- For FIXED Universal Life and Traditional policies, complete the loan section of Form 244. Review the signature requirements in the Surrender Section of this guide.
- For INDEXED Universal Life policy loans, complete the Indexed Financial Request Form IUL-FIN. Note: Sections 1 and 2 must be completed.
- For FLEXWEALTH Universal Life loans, when Insured desires “Be your own Banker” for paying the loan back, utilize the Flexwealth loan form (Form 2046).
- Loans on Traditional Policies to Pay Premium (APL)
To add the Automatic Premium Loan feature to a traditional policy, complete the appropriate box on the Loan Section of Form 244.
Ensure forms are properly signed and dated and submit for processing.
