Not Taken / Free Look Refund

Policies can be returned to the Home Office within the “free look” period. Each state has particular specifications for the number of days allowed for the “free look” period. This information can be found on the front page of the policy. This “free look” period starts from the day the Policyowner receives the policy.

To consider a policy for cancellation, Kansas City Life Insurance Company must receive the policy contract back along with a written request signed and dated by the Policyowner, within the state mandated “free look” period. To deposit funds directly to the Policyowners banking institution, click here for the ACH form.
