In order to change the ownership of a policy, Kansas City Life Insurance Company must have a completed Ownership Form signed and dated by the current Owner(s) of the policy. Ownership change forms should only be provided to the current Owner of the policy.
For simple Ownership Changes of one individual to another individual, complete the Ownership Change section of Form 244. If a policy is Corporate Owned and/or the change will be more complex, contact Customer Services, ext. 8060, to determine the proper forms needed.
If a policy has an assignment, creditor beneficiary, or irrevocable beneficiary; they share in control of the policy. Any changes or requests will also require their signature(s) along with the owner of the policy.
